Principal's Message

Sugar Creek is more than just a school: it's a family, and I am incredibly honored to serve as its principal.

As I begin my second full year in this role, I continue to feel grateful for the opportunity to lead such an extraordinary school community. Before joining Sugar Creek, I served as Assistant Principal at Fort Mill Elementary for 4.5 years. Prior to that, I spent 17 years in the classroom, including 13 wonderful years with my school family at Lucy Holman Elementary School in Jackson, New Jersey. In 2016, my husband, our two daughters, and I made Fort Mill our home, and it has truly become the place where our family has grown and flourished.

Over the past year and a half, I have had the privilege of getting to know our students, staff, and families, and my admiration for the Sugar Creek community has only grown. Together, we have celebrated successes, tackled challenges, and continued our shared commitment to providing every child with an exceptional educational experience.

As we look ahead, my vision remains rooted in the values that make Sugar Creek so special: high expectations, meaningful collaboration, open communication, and a relentless focus on what is best for students. As a teacher at heart, my favorite place will always be in classrooms, learning alongside our students, supporting our incredible staff, and building strong relationships with families.

Working alongside our dedicated leadership team and outstanding faculty, I remain committed to honoring the rich traditions of Sugar Creek while embracing opportunities for innovation and growth. Together, we will continue to build on our strengths, foster a culture where every child is known and valued, and inspire one another to be the very best versions of ourselves. Our mission is simple: to ensure that all students learn at high levels in a safe and supportive environment, and every decision we make is guided by that commitment.
